Purpose
Our mission
We exist to be our brother's keeper and to break the cycle of recidivism.
Prison Ministries of Carolina was founded with a clear purpose: to be our brother's keeper. Through the Our Brother’s Keeper Initiative, we provide temporary housing for men after their release from the South Carolina Department of Corrections, while exposing them to the doctrine of Adventism and explaining God's purpose in giving the three angels' messages to the world.
Our goal is to help alleviate the immediate pressure that leads one in five men to reoffend. We offer guidance on building a new life from the ground up, with a foundation built on the Solid Rock. Through vocational training, spiritual guidance, and practical support, we break the cycle of recidivism.
History
Our story
From a vision to a registered nonprofit serving the Carolina Conference.
Bill Morgan purchased 3.5 acres of land in Gilbert, South Carolina, and dedicated it to the Lord for the purpose of giving ex-offenders a second chance. What began as a vision has grown into a comprehensive ministry that addresses both temporal and spiritual needs.
We officially became a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, allowing us to expand our reach and impact. Today, we continue to serve as the first Seventh-day Adventist transitional house in the Carolina Conference, providing a unique combination of housing, vocational training, and spiritual guidance.

Leadership
Meet our founder
Bill Morgan's journey from military service to missionary work to Prison Ministries of Carolina.
Bill Morgan
Bill Morgan has dedicated his life to service. A veteran of both the Air Force and Army, where he served as a prison guard, Bill's journey led him to missionary work in Korea. After becoming a Seventh-day Adventist, he felt called to work for God in a special way. He purchased the property that would become Prison Ministries of Carolina, creating a place where ex-offenders could find hope, healing, and a new beginning.
